HELP: Where is the SECOND mission? - Guild Wars Forums

OK, this is really annoying me! >< It's
Me and my friend just started GW nightfall today, we finished the tutorial and did the first mission where we bomb the two boats. We've then been doing loads of quests and at the same time been looking for the second mission (where it gives you the cinematics and where the people talk)

We've been to:
Kamadan
Sunspear Great Hall
Champions Dawn
The Astralium
Jokanur Diggings

Our Primary quest at the moment is: The Honourable General
It says that we have to either 'Gain the Rank of First Spear or Level 12'

Now i don't know if this leads us to the second mission because we've been doing quests for so long now and we're level 7 and to get to level 12 just for the SECOND mission seems wrong. I played prophecies 2 years ago and it wasn't even like this.

Does anyone know where the second mission is? We've just been running round like idiots and i'm getting really impatient.

Just keep following it around or you can look on the wiki go tot the unofficial one it is not as busy.

It is kind of misleading, but what you actually have to do before doing mission #2, is to get to lvl 12, or get to the rank of first spear. Press the H-button to bring up the screen that shows which rank you are.

The best way to advance, is to get to Jokunar's diggings and go west. Kill the six monsters in the way, and talk to the sunspear guard that stands at the resurrect-shrine. He will give you a "bonus"-mission; you must select it. This will give you the ability to get 1 sunspear rank point each time you kill a Skale-type monster.

Just a little further west, is a high number of low-level skales. I think it's about 10-12 of them. They are easy prey if you are slightly skilled. Killing them over and over will net you good points fast - and to the rank of first spear quickly.

You cant just skip a primary quest and move onto the next one, You need to work through them all, Just get quests from around towns and so on, You'll be at 12 in no time.

nightfall works quite different, as does factions. prophecies is very open, and you can do any mission in any order. each mission in nightfall however has certain requirements to do each one (in this case sunspear rank or level).

i recommend doing bounties for the sunspear rank as it generally should be faster than pure levelling (besides you will also level up in the process). as well i'd recommend secondary quests, which offer additional rewards and a break from monotonous level grinding.

Have you tried the wiki? It says what the previous and following missions for anything are and the location and where to get them from.

Nightfall sucks. Its hot and ugly and super duper grindy. After this "grind to level 12" crap you're gonna have to get another primary quest saying "awesome, now grind to level 17" I suggest just playing the other two.

Following the Primary Quests is a pretty good way of finding the missions yourself.

Ok, we've found them but we have to run past about 5 mobs of level 15s and we nearly die everytime. Is there a way for them to respawn faster, or is there a town closer by which we wont die from the mobs twice our level on the way? Also, is there any better ways for getting the rank?

Exit from the Sunspear Great Hall. Talk to the guy at the shrine left of the exit. Kill the group of spiders near the rock. Rinse and repeat.

This one is a lot more low-level friendly.
